Truck Drivers

All Star Paving & Sealing LLC, Connecticut's premier asphalt paving and maintenance contractor, is excited to announce a career opportunity for a Truck Driver. Our team handles everything from residential driveways and parking lots to major roadway projects, along with concrete work, milling, grading, excavation, masonry, drainage and asphalt maintenance.

Pay:

  • $25-$35/hr

Hours:

  • Seasonal position: April - December
  • Mon - Fri 6am - 4pm, some Saturdays

Duties:

  • Operate commercial trucks to transport asphalt & construction materials to and from specified destinations.

  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any mechanical issues.

  • Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of materials.

  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation, and mileage records.

  • Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff as needed.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and company operational procedures at all times.

  • Perform minor truck maintenance (e.g., checking oil, fuel, tire pressure) when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL); Class A or B depending on role.

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.

  • Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.

  • Knowledge of DOT and local transportation regulations.

  • Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical tasks when needed.

  • Strong time-management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with long-haul/over-the-road (OTR) or regional driving

  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)

  • Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification (if required)
