Mason

Our team handles everything from residential driveways and parking lots to major roadway projects, along with concrete work, milling, grading, excavation, masonry, drainage and asphalt maintenance.

Pay

  • $20-$25/hr

Hours

  • Seasonal position: April - December
  • Mon - Fri 6am - 4pm, some Saturdays

Duties:

  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, Belgium block and other masonry units to build or repair walls, Belgium block curbing, Belgium block aprons or other masonry items.
  • Mix and apply mortar, cement, or grout using hand tools and mixing equipment.
  • Cut, shape, and fit bricks, stones, or blocks to specified dimensions using hand tools, power saws, or masonry equipment.
  • Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned during installation.
  • Repair or replace damaged masonry units, patches, or decorative surfaces.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all site safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with other construction trades and site personnel to ensure project efficiency and quality.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mason, bricklayer, or similar role in construction.
  • Knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or relevant certification (preferred).
  • Work performed primarily outdoors on construction sites.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • May require standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods.
